Tollo Linear AB is situated in Kristianstad, which lies in the southernmost part of Sweden. See the map for details about our location. Tollo Linear develop, manufacture and sell linear actuators, linear motion systems and handling components under the brand name Thomson. Tollo Linear was founded 1982 and was originally named Tollo Systems AB (Tollo is Latin for "I lift). The company started in the light weight overhead crane business and invented a modular light weight crane system called Movorail. Movorail was a success and the company grew. A couple of years later Tollo moved in to the automation area by the introduction of the Movopart, one of the first linear motion systems on the market, which meant further growth and a new direction for the company as we moved in to the world of automation. In 1989 Tollo was acquired by Warner Electric and one of the results was that the European linear actuator production where moved to Tollo. This opened new markets for us and boosted growth even more.
In 2000 we became a part of
Thomson which is one largest players in the world when it
comes to motion control and industrial automation. Under Thomson we have become an important center in Europe for
linear motion technology and the head office in Scandinavia for
Thomson products. Learn more about Thomson on ThomsonLinear.com.
